General construction of the Arbutus WTP Phase II which includes; clearing, grubbing and blasting of project site, construction of new water treatment facility which envelopes and integrates the existing chlorination facility on site, construction of a new reinforced concrete residuals handling facility, installation of approximately 2km of sanitary line, installation of approximately 2km of fiberoptic line, final grading / landscaping of site.
The new WTP facility generally consists of all concrete work, pre-engineered and structural steel building, HVAC mechanical and electrical service installations.
Within the new facilities, NAC is responsible to procure, deliver and install all equipment for the successful integration and start-up of the facility. Major equipment includes; Dissolved Air Flotation system (DAF), Membrane treatment, PACl dosing system, and Soda Ash dosing system.
NAC will also be responsible for the commissioning and training of the facility and existing plant staff.
