Co-op, Human Resources Coordinator, Head Office

NAC is currently seeking an HR Coordinator (4 Month Co-op student) to join our team at our head office location in Morriston, Ontario.

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Head of Human Resources, the HR Coordinator is an integral part of the HR team, responsible for a wide variety of HR related tasks.  The incumbent provides high quality, timely and efficient services, including recruitment for our multiple projects within Canada.

Job Description:

  • Support the HR Department with various HR functions as requested
  • Liaise with the HR Team regarding current and upcoming recruitment needs
  • Assist with recruitment functions such as: receive incoming calls, create job postings/advertising using various forms of social media, sorting resumes, scheduling interviews and performing hourly pre-screening interviews
  • Manage and update NAC's career page, Facebook and other social media platforms
  • Coordinate and file documentation electronically, as required
  • Prepare apprenticeship packages, as required
  • Follow up with outstanding apprenticeship documentation
  • Coordinate onboarding activities, new hire paperwork and procedures
  • Maintain and update HR forms, as required
  • Research and implement special projects, as assigned
  • Research, develop and coordinate communication products for all employee branding projects
  • Research and coordinate various HR Initiatives, such as: strategic, cutting edge recruitment endeavors to attract the highest caliber of employees, develop and drive a professional standardized onboarding process, revamp interview questions, research and launch rewards programs and other HR initiatives that positively impact NAC culture (ie., Work Hard/Play Hard motto, New NAC swag) etc.
  • Organize, create, maintain and coordinate HR records and files
  • Attend Trade Shows/Job Fairs, as required

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in a Human Resources post- secondary program, offering a registered co-op placement
  • Strong knowledge of general office procedures
  • High attention to detail and proven accuracy
  • Proficient working knowledge with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills
  • Superior time management and multitasking skills
  • Ability to effectively interpret and implement company policies and procedures
  • Professional, strong work ethic, diligent and positive attitude
  • Resourcefulness and flexibility
