The PCAC LogoProgressive Contractors Association of Canada (PCAC) is the voice of progressive unionized employers in Canada’s construction industry.

PCAC member companies employ over 20,000 skilled workers across Canada, represented primarily by the Christian Labour Association of Canada (CLAC). These companies apply progressive labour relations practices that are unique in four critical ways:

· Principled –  honesty, transparency and respect in all relationships

· Cooperative – partnership between the employer and employees

· Productive –“open site” labour practices that  enhance productivity

· Safe – highest standards of safety across the construction workplace

PCAC works to ensure fair access to work opportunities for its members by promoting a legislative framework and industry practices that result in a level playing field for all construction industry participants.

NAC has a "wall to wall" labour agreement with the Christian Labour Association of Canada (CLAC). As such, NAC has an open hiring policy, with the freedom to hire as many local trades people as possible under a single, unified labour agreement.

CLAC is an independent Canadian labour union that applies Christian social principles of justice, respect, and dignity to the workplace community. It provides quality representation and a wide range of benefits and training for its members, and active member advocacy that strives to build healthy work communities based on mutual respect and partnership. CLAC is a certified union representing workers in many sectors across Canada since 1952.

NAC is also a member and corporate sponsor of the Aboriginal Human Resource Council. The Aboriginal Human Resource Council creates and markets a wide range of resources to help  Aboriginal people participate fully in Canada's economy. We do this through building bridges with connections, partnerships and solutions between Canada's Aboriginal and business communities.
