Formsetters - Kingston

NAC is currently seeking Formsetters or our Waste Water Treatment Plant project in Kingston, Ontario. Start dates are immediate and the duration is approximately 2 years.  Must be local (within 100km of the project site).


Under the direction of the Civil Superintendent you will be responsible for building, restoring and/or installing of structural formwork from wood or metal forms for the construction of concrete structures.  This position requires knowledge of the heavy construction industry.  Specifically the practices, procedures, techniques, tools and equipment, materials, specifications, quality control and safety associated with this industry.  You must be proficient at the following tasks: layout for walls and slabs for heavy construction concrete products.


  • Must have formwork experience (AlisplyGang experience preferred)
  • Concrete pouring experience (specifically for walls)
  • Shoring experience (Aluma/Peri an asset)
  • 3-5 years of experience working in heavy construction.
  • Knowledge of safe operation of tools
  • Knowledge of workplace safety and safe lifting and handling procedures.
  • Heavy lifting required
  • Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Time management skills
  • Receptive to change - can adapt to changing circumstances
  • Proactive in ensuring job knowledge is current
  • Current WHMIS, Working at Heights/Fall Arrest, Health and Safety Awareness Trainign for Workers is mandatory
