Major retrofit and expansion to the existing East End Water Pollution Control Plant including the sequenced mass demolition of one primary and four secondary circular clarifiers, the existing administration building and two detritor buildings, chlorine contact tanks, blower building, inlet works structure and pump house and the construction of new facilities as follows; new administration complex, three new longitudinal primary clarifiers, a new bioreactor facility, new blower building, new disinfection facility, three new secondary clarifiers, a new inlet works building, new electrical building, a new odour control biofilter facility, selective demolition and retrofit of the existing sludge dewatering facility, coupled with extensive yard piping and siteworks.

The complexity in sequencing the mass and selective demolition with the construction of the new buildings and process systems required significant planning and co-ordination.
