NAC employees are members of CLAC, the country’s largest national, independent, multisector union.
The labour association is unique to NAC in that its very design is one that is cooperative and mutually self-serving. This relationship allows NAC to provide the client with a competent, loyal, workforce that is highly mobilized, scalable, and accustomed to work in crews from a dozen into the hundreds. The spirit of the CLAC and NAC agreement is to use a co-operative approach for labour issues, thus allowing important schedules to be maintained. It's a dynamic that has to be witnessed to be believed; on any given day it's not uncommon to see different trades help each other out.
Pride in a shared goal might witness a pipefitter helping out a carpenter on a Friday afternoon on a job site still busy with tradespeople. Within the union agreement NAC has negotiated a fair and competitive wage including an excellent benefit package that attracts and retains exceptionally qualified trades people.
NAC has excelled at what they do by maintaining a close relationship between all stakeholders and trades, and it's that structure’s intimacy that ensures that budgets, quality of execution, safety and timelines are consistently honored delivering the best possible service to their clients.
