POLICY


North America Construction (1993) Ltd., (NAC) is committed to providing quality services by establishing a qualified workforce that reflects the diverse population it serves.  NAC has and will continue to develop and implement workplace diversity principles and strategies across all of its structures, policies, procedures, and decision making processes. 

 

NAC will ensure that its practices are free from direct and indirect discrimination.  NAC respects people's dignity, ideas and beliefs, thereby ensuring equity and diversity in employment.

This Policy covers all aspects of employment, including candidate selection, appointment, promotion, compensation, benefits, training, layoffs, transfers, and any other terms and conditions of employment. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES AND EXPECTATIONS


Everyone

  •  To understand, embrace and support the objective of providing all individuals with an environment free from discrimination.
  •  To recognize the value of diversity of people as an important asset of our organization.
  •  Embrace the full potential of diversity and inclusion in our workforce.
  •  Individuals who believe their may have been an act or acts of direct or indirect discrimination should report the incident or incidents immediately by utilizing the Workplace Respect Policy (COR020) and the Internal Complaint Investigative Procedures to the appropriate authority. 

 

Employees

  •  Read and comply with this policy.
  • Report areas where they feel there may be barriers to equal opportunities.
  • Report instances where they believe their may be an infraction.

 

 

 

Supervisors & Managers 

  • Promote a work environment of fair and equal employment practices.
  • Remove barriers to ensure NAC’s workplace that is grounded in fairness, respect and dignity, trust and open communication.
  • Make employees aware of this Policy.
  • Provide, with appropriate assistance, interpretations to employees regarding potential breaches of this policy.
  • To prevent the development, escalation or recurrence of incidents that violate this policy.
  • Act as a diversity champion on behalf of both employees and clients.
