Significant expansion and retrofit to the existing Atlantic Avenue Water Pollution Control Plant consisting of a new 14 cell Biological Aerated Filtration (BAF) Facility, demolition and conversion of existing primary clarifiers to a Dissolved Air Floatation (DAF) Facility, sequenced retrofit of the influent pump station involving upgrading influent pumps to 800 HP and completely overhauling and replacing all power distribution equipment while maintaining continuous flows, construction of a new polymer building addition and a new generator building, as well as retrofit and modifications to the administration complex and the many electrical and maintenance workshops.

This retrofit expansion required sequenced flow diversions in order to execute the work during high seasonal flows while maintaining the plant in continuous operation.
