Planner/Scheduler- GTA

As a key member of the project team, the Project Controls Planner/Scheduler is responsible for working closely with the project leads and management in planning, creating and managing the project schedules.

General Responsibilities

-Provide strong planning, detailing the sequence of all work & scheduling support to the project manager & team.

-Performing, monitoring, and reviewing the planning and scheduling functions, which include schedule development, control and analysis. 

-Maintain master schedule for each project and identify and record the impact of work performed according to the schedule. Evaluate construction progress and provide regular schedule updates.  Ensure that construction progress is reported properly.

-Closely monitor long lead items (Awards / Shop Drawings / Supply to site) to ensure that the overall construction schedule is prioritized to meet the construction and commissioning sequence.

-Assist Project Managers and Superintendents in creating short-term schedules and monitoring these schedules to determine their impact on the master schedule.

-Incorporate resource and cost loading data into schedules as required

-Extract and summarize relevant contract requirements from the contract documents as it relates to the Project schedule: contractual start and end dates, key milestone dates, Owner involvement, liquidated damage clauses, etc.

-Evaluate time impact on construction schedule caused by additional works, design changes, etc. defending Contractor's position by providing detailed schedule analysis.

-Proactively identify problems or conflicts in the project schedule and assist the Project Manager or Superintendent in effectively managing a resolution

-Review and prepare reports as necessary.


Minimum of 3 years of construction scheduling, engineering design or construction industry. 

Proficient in using scheduling software, particularly Primavera

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to coordinate multiple schedules, solve schedule conflicts under pressure, and understanding the complex building sequence
