Inspiring the Next Generation of Builders in North Vancouver
This spring, NAC Constructors partnered with the North Vancouver School District to bring a hands-on construction industry experience to more than 600 elementary students from Montroyal, Cleveland, and Canyon Heights schools.
With the full
engagement of NAC’s Capilano project team, the
NAC Constructors Vancouver team, and ambassadors from our partners WSP, RAM,
and the Vancouver Regional Construction Association, students were guided
through three interactive stations introducing them to the world of construction.
From trying on safety gear
and handling tools to exploring real-world materials and projects—like the
Capilano Raw Water Pump Station Emergency Back-Up Power Project currently
underway at Metro Vancouver’s Cleveland Dam—students gained a tangible look at
the exciting opportunities available in the skilled trades.
The response was
enthusiastic: students asked thoughtful questions, engaged with each station,
and left with a new appreciation for how construction shapes their communities.
NAC is proud to collaborate with our partners and the North Vancouver School District to help spark curiosity and encourage future careers in construction. Experiences like this highlight the importance of connecting industry with classrooms and building pathways for the next generation.
