NAC's Oak Ridges Air Management Facility Project Reaches Significant Milestones

Our Oak Ridges team has been making impressive progress on the Air Management Facility (AMF) project in Richmond Hill, ON. As we transition from fall to winter, the project has achieved several key milestones, showcasing the skill and dedication of our NAC crew.

In late September, we commenced the first wall pour of the AMF building, utilizing the Doka formwork system to create full-height walls of approximately 23 feet. This innovative approach expedited the concrete pouring process, though it required careful planning and execution, especially when incorporating a key way around the perimeter of the 2nd-floor suspended slab on the west side of the building.

As the project gained momentum, November saw remarkable progress, with the completion of four out of seven AMF walls and the implementation of a cold-weather concrete program. By early December, the team successfully installed the hollow core slab for the roof, followed by the associated topping pour. This significant achievement pleased both the owner and project representatives, setting a positive tone for the next phase of work in the new year.

Recent developments include the installation of roof trusses and sheathing, further advancing the building's enclosure. The concrete walls now stand proudly formed, a testament to the hard work and expertise of our team.

It's truly inspiring to witness the progress across all our projects and the remarkable achievements of our skilled teams. The Oak Ridges AMF project exemplifies NAC's commitment to excellence and efficiency in construction.
