Brandon Wastewater Treatment Plant Upgrades

NAC completed two individual projects at the Brandon Wastewater Treatment Plant - Contract 3 & 4.

The combined scope of work for these projects included the construction of a new screen building with piping tie-ins to the existing mains, the replacement of two existing lift pumps, and the replacement of three effluent pumps with new pumps.

Also included was the installation of three new screens and conveyors and the rework of the existing pipe gallery for the new process. A shored excavation together with by-pass pumping and piping allowed for the connection of the new screen building to existing trunk sewer.

Further scope included the expansion of the Industrial Waste Water Treatment Facility inlet structure, bioreactor, chemical building, membrane building and associated yard piping to tie all the new process together. The City of Brandon selected a GE Membrane System as their process technology of choice for these upgrades.
