Expansion to the existing Bracebridge Falls Generating Station consisting of; expansion of water passages including deepened forebay, inlet channel and tailrace; a larger penstock and draft tube increasing the current flow of 10m3 per second to 27m3 to second; in combination with new turbine and generation equipment, production capability increases to 2600kW from the existing 600kW.

Technical challenges included the removal and deepening of the existing works under the existing 110 year old powerhouse, and installation of unforeseen shotcrete and rockbolt stabilization systems.
