NAC Selected to Deliver New Brighton Wastewater Treatment Plant

NAC has been awarded the contract to construct a brand-new wastewater treatment plant for the Municipality of Brighton—an important infrastructure project that will significantly increase the community’s capacity for wastewater collection and treatment.

The new facility will include a new operations building, new headworks, primary and secondary treatment systems, UV disinfection, an effluent outfall to Presqu’ile Bay, and biosolids handling equipment. The project also includes upgrades to the existing Queen Street Pumping Station and construction of a new forcemain to carry flows to the new facility.

This investment in wastewater infrastructure is designed to meet current and future demands, positioning Brighton for long-term, sustainable growth. The new system will replace the municipality’s aging wastewater treatment lagoon, which is currently operating above capacity and no longer meets the community’s needs.

NAC is proud to bring its wastewater expertise to this important initiative and looks forward to delivering a high-quality facility that will serve Brighton residents for years to come.
