The Arnprior WPCC expansion project increased treatment capacity of the existing plant from 7,900m3/day to 9,700 m3/day by constructing additional, primary, aeration, secondary and chlorine contact process tanks. Other modifications required within the existing plant included a second automated inlet screen, a third aeration blower, additional pumps (grit/R.A.S/scum/sludge) and updating to the current SCADA/administration area.
New work also included a 700 lineal meter outfall sewer and a digestion/bio-solids management building complete with a centralized odour treatment system for the entire plant.
