Upgrades to existing Water Pollution Control Plant, including new construction of 3 aeration tanks, 3 secondary clarifiers with scum pits, RAS/WAS gallery, Raw Sewage Pumping Station, Blower Building, Secondary Treatment Building, and an Intermediate Pumping Station. Modifications also include the replacement of existing inlet screens, grit classifiers, and modifications of the chlorine contact structures as well as a complete new electrical High voltage service complete with new incoming transformer and backup generator.

Construction of new structural foundations, buried piping and electrical ductbanks in very high ground water conditions (near grade elevation).

Major design changes were encountered at the beginning of the project to improve ground conditions by increasing the bearing capacity and modules of sub-grade reaction to the top 10 meters of loose sand. This was successfully achieved by way of dynamic compaction utilizing a subcontractor Geopac of Richmond Hill, Ontario. This work program was roughly valued at $2M and is complete.
