Greenway Water Pollution Control Plant Expansion

The Greenway WPCP Project was a major expansion to a live plant involving multiple stages and phases which were required to maintain the ongoing functionality of the facility.

Below is a listing of the various activities that occurred during the construction of the expansion to this facility.

  • Temporary and permanent retaining walls and temporary unwatering
  • Construction of a new headworks building
  • Construction of the new final clarifiers & decommissioning of the existing final clarifiers
  • Construction of a new 2 section aeration tank with diffuser and channel modifications
  • Construction of a new 3 section aeration tank with diffuser and channel modifications
  • Construction of RCP sewers
  • Construction of the new CEPT bypass sewer & construction of the new effluent sewer
  • Retrofitting the 3 section final clarifier 5 to a new WAS holding tank
  • Retrofitting the 3 section final clarifier 4 to wet weather storage tank no. 1
  • Retrofitting the 3 section final clarifier 3 to wet weather storage tank no. 2
  • Retrofitting the 3 section final clarifier 2 to wet weather storage tank no. 3
  • Construction of a new RAS pumping stn. & construction of the new TWAS unloading stn.
  • Architectural upgrades to the south access house and primary sludge pumping station
  • New electrical power feed, control and lighting for emergency generator
  • New HVAC and building services, new SCADA system hardware and integration
  • Construction of associated pumping, piping, electrical, mechanical and site works
  • Management of the new works and integration with ongoing plant operations
  • Provision of construction facilities and other temporary controls
  • Construction of temporary measures and works including bulkheads for flow isolation inchannels, temporary piping, equipment, piping, civil, mechanical, and electrical needed toperform the work
  • SCADA and PLC programming, installation, start-up, testing and commissioning.
