The Clarkson WWTP Expansion consists of a major capacity expansion to the existing facility totaling some $75 million of construction over 30 months.

The Liquids phase consisted of some 29,000 cubic meters of concrete, 4,000 tons of rebar, 133,500 cubic meters of excavation, and 320,000 total combined civil, mechanical & electrical manhours of labour productivity.

The overall scope of work consisted of the addition of the following structures and processes.

Three (3) new chain and flight primary clarifiers, three (3) new fine bubble aeration tanks, a new blower building, three (3) new chain and flight secondary clarifiers, a new phosphorus removal facility, two (2) new biofilters complete with odourus air collection system, modifications to the existing aeration basins, mechanical, process and electrical systems to provide functionality to the structure and a new high voltage substaiton and electrical distribution system.
